NEVER FEAR. CHRIS MATTHEWS SLURS ITALIANS AGAIN.

In the throws of the hot August vacation season, CHRIS MATTHEWS and perennial political also ran, MARK GREEN, endeavored to resurrect THE GODFATHER ANALOGY to describe ATTORNEY GENERAL GONZALES'S visit to THEN ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHCROFT'S HOSPITAL ROOM.
KUDOS to MIKE ISIKOFF for not joining in to this slurring event of Italian Americans.

GREEN: "Like your Godfather reference earlier Chris....He(undisclosed) referred to him as Freddo."
MATTHEWS: "Like Michael, he referred to him as Freddo. Freddo is my brother, but he is weak! (laughter)."
CHRIS, YOU ARE LOCKED IN TO A TRITE REFERENCE TO A STEREOTYPICAL 1970'S GENRE. MOVE ON TO A NEW MOVIE. MAYBE USE THE GOOD SHEPARD METAPHORS? ;)
