THERE HE GOES AGAIN: APRIL 29,2008 MSNBC Hardball: Chris Matthews
When discussing Barak Obama's speech in which Obama denounced Rev. Wright and his comments regarding America, Chris Matthews could only come up with an Analagous Example of using this Italian Slur of "Fredo being asked by Michael Corelone in the movie: The Godfather II to handle his wife or 'I'll have it done for you.'"
Let us harken back to Martha Mitchell's ranting during Watergate (much of it well-founded due to her kidnapping). At any point in time during the early to middle 1970's (when The Godfather II was a "hit" movie), Martha Mitchell was NEVER compared to Fredo's Wife! NEITHER HAS ANY OTHER OVERLY EMOTIONAL POLITICIAN OR HIS SPOUSE BEEN COMPARED TO FREDO'S WIFE! George Mitchell believed that all Martha Mitchell needed was a little rest. PERHAPS YOUR ITALIAN SLURS NEED TO TAKE A REST AGAIN TOO, MR. MATTHEWS!
